Ice arena Baikal

Ice arena for bandy "Baikal" along with two other similar facilities in Siberia are the longest-span wooden surfaces in Russia. At the same time, the work on the creation of this particular structure was complicated by the increased seismicity of the construction site. The span of a trellis double-hinged arch of 100 m was taken from the condition of functional necessity, as well as minimizing administrative barriers in the design, although there are no technical obstacles to making a wooden covering with a span of more than 100 m.
